Wize LLC takes data security very seriously. To protect your Private Personal Information (PPI), we utilize:

  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Required for all internal access to client data.
  • Encryption: All digital files containing PPI are stored in encrypted environments.

5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

Under California law, you have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Right to Know: You may request a disclosure of the categories of data we collect.
  • Right to Delete: You may request the deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements).

6. Record Retention and Archival

  • Digital Records: We retain digital copies of filed tax returns for seven (7) years to comply with professional standards.
  • Physical Records: If physical documents are provided, they will be returned within two (2) weeks of the completion of the service.
  • Client Responsibility: While we store records for 7 years, we highly encourage clients to download and maintain their own copies from Intuit Link for their permanent archives.

We may update this policy annually to reflect changes in law or our firm’s practices. We will notify active clients of any significant changes via the email address on file.
